Boscia de Ferussac 1822 is junior homonym to Boscia Schweigger, 1819. Holthuis (1982) concluded Megatrema Sowerby 1823 is the replacement name for Boscia de Ferussac 1822. Holthuis (1982) conclude it is necessary to replace Bosciinae by Megatrematinae.
