Diagnosis We would thus amplify Chun's definition to read as follows: Cydippids with nearly cylindrical body, only slightly compressed in the stomodeal-axis. With protuberances in the funnel-plane on both sides of the apical sense-organ. Paragastric canals well developed. Tentacles sunken within sheaths in the funnel axis.
