The parasites of the inshore lizardfish, Synodus foetens, were studied from collections taken from an estuarine canal in south Florida between January ]963 and December 1964. A new genus of Cestoda (Both- riocephalidae) has been erected with the proposed name A nantrul11. Several larval and adult helminths and a dinoflagellate were studied from monthly samples of Synodus. Incidence of infection, intensity of infection, location of parasites in the host, and associations among parasites arc discussed. Extensions of ranges for parasites in S. foetens and parasites heretofore not recorded from S. foetens are noted.
