New combination Caira (1989), Gibson (1996), and Caira and Bogéa (2005) incorrectly noted that Stiles and Hassall (1898) are authors of the combination B. luciopercae. Stiles and Hassall (1898) indicate a type species of the Bunodera, only under the name with which this species has been known before: Bunodera Railliet, 1896— Type, Distoma nodulosum (Zeder, 1800) = Fasciola luciopercae Müller, 1776 (see page 84 of Stiles and Hassal, 1989)—for this reason, these authors do not have the priority in creating the combination Bunodera luciopercae. The first author who used the name B. luciopercae was Lühe (1909). [details]
