From editor or global species database
Identification Canadian records: I am extremely sceptical about both of these records. O. vitellosus normally occurs off the Atlantic coast of the United States, so the Pacific records may refer to Genitocotyle acirrus, which has been recorded from a range of hosts off the Pacific coast of the United States and Canada or to some other opecoeline. The record from the holocephalan is presumably accidental and is perhaps more likely to be a deep-water form, such as Anomalotrema. [details]
