Status There has been confusion over the identity of this species, and it was placed in synonymy (in WoRMS) with Aega bicarinata....
Status There has been confusion over the identity of this species, and it was placed in synonymy (in WoRMS) with Aega bicarinata. Both Sars (1899), Kussakin (1979) and Bruce (2009) maintained the species as valid, A. stroemii having large eyes while A. bicarinata has small eyes (among other differences). [details]
