Taxonomy The absence of any significant and consistent differences between Hexostoma
and Neohexostoma and the great similarity of some species especially with regard to
the structure of the clamps and the genital system, indicate that Neohexostoma Price,
1961 must be considered a synonym of Hexostoma Rafinesque. The vaginal teeth,
for instance, are practically identical in H. lintoni Price, 1961, H. albsmithi Dollfus,
1962, and N. euthynni (Meserve, 1938). [details]
and Neohexostoma and the great similarity of some species especially with regard to
