Synonymy Possibly conspecific with Poraniomorpha (Culcitopsis) borealis (Sussbach & Breckner, 1911) which it antedates and threatens. As noted by A.M. Clark (1984) the name pentagonus needs to be formally suppressed by the ICZN. [details]
