Diagnosis Leptometra with centrodorsal sharply to bluntly, rounded, or truncated conical, or even somewhat columnar, usually about as high as broad at the base, sometimes higher than broad, with the apical third or half without functional cirrus sockets, shallowly pitted, with a very rregular surface, or bearing numerous papillae. Cirrus sockets elongate dorsoventrally, arranged in 2, or 2 and a more or less developed third, usually somewhat irregular columns beneath each radial, and usually closely crowded. [details]
