Type specimen This species is known only from the description of the now lost type specimen taken off Northumberland.
T. flexus had tables and terminal plates similar to T. gadeana, but its tentacle ossicles were not described. It therefore cannot be decided whether T. flexus is a senior synonym of T. gadeana or was based on specimens of T. fusus with table and many plates with more than 8 holes.
T. flexus is placed as synonym of T. fusus in list of North East Atlantic Taxa. [details]
