Lyla et al. (1998) attribute names to the late K. Peethambaran Asari by placing “Peethambaran” after each species name, but without any type of further clarification or explanation of their intentions. Following a strict interpretation of Article 51 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN, 1985, 1999) (see also Ng, 1994), however, the correct authorship is Lyla, Velvizhi and Ajmal Khan, 1998, rather than Peethambaran.
