Ecology Authors: "Laonome xeprovala sp. nov. is obviously a euryoecious fresh and brackish water species. It was collected in fresh water (Odra and Don Rivers), low salinity areas (from 0.5 to about 7 psu), on hard bottoms (Van Harinxmakanaal, Pärnu Bay), mixed sediments (Taganrog Bay), sandy silt with detritus (Hallsfjärden), clean sand (Don River) and soft clay rich in organic material and decomposing microalgae (Pärnu Bay).
