Synonymy It is obvious that Serpula filograna Linnaeus, 1767, Serpula corallifica Pallas, 1766 and Serpula complexa Turton, 1819 cannot be simple subjective synonyms of Filograna implexa Berkeley, 1835 as they are all senior to it. However, they are disused names, thus probably nomina oblita (unused since 1899) and do not take precedence. They are treated as synonyms in well-known monographs (eg., McIntosh, 1923; Day, 1967) [details]
