Etymology The specific epithet parahomoseta is composed by the Greek prefix para-, meaning 'beside' or 'near', set before the word homoseta, which in turn is composed by the Greek prefix homo-, meaning 'same', and the Latin noun seta, alternative form of saeta and meaning 'bristle'. The specific epithet seems to make reference to the similarity of the species with Exogone homosetosa Hartmann-Schröder, 1965. [details]
