Type locality South Atlantic Ocean, Tristan da Cunha, Nightingale Island, off north-eastern coast (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. -37.414º, long. -12.465º), 20-40 m, outside Macrocystis belt, hard bottom with stones from the size of a hazel nut to that of a fist, strongly overgrown with sponges, hydroids, pelecypods, etc. [details]
Type material Holotype deposited at the Museum of Natural History and Archaeology, Trondheim, Norway (NTNU) (Bakken, 1999: 17). It is described as a small, slender worm measuring 3.6 mm long, by 0.3 mm wide, for 28 chaetigers, with the last few and pygidium missing. [details]
