Habitat Clay and silt with stones, at shelf depths. [details]
Synonymy May be a junior synonym of Paramphitrite birulai (Ssolowiew, 1899) according to Jirkov (2001: 519). Subsequently Jirkov (2020) revalidated Amphitrite birulai and made Paramphitrite tetrabanchia, the type species of Paramphitrite, the junior synonym of Amphitrite birulai. However, Lavesque et al (2021) have rejected the generic synonymy, although they comment "about the need to find additional morphological characters in order to perform a more robust revision of the [two] genera, supported by molecular data."
