Fautin (2016) lists this as among the species of Handactis, the genus name substituted for Cricophorus, because Cricophorus is a junior synonym of a gastropod taxon (See Table 2, pp 16, 17, 93). However, elsewhere (p. 114), she notes that this is the type species of the genus Paraiptasia England 1992. Paraiptasia radiata is the current valid name for this taxon.
