has been collected from different types of sand in the intertidal zone. In our opinion, the presence of this
species in Brazil needs confirmation, particularly as early stage development and adults of Batillipes species
can be very similar and large intraspecific variability has been observed in this genus (see remarks for B.
gilmartini). [details]
