Distribution North America; Labrador to Virginia [details]

Reproduction Breeds on the coast and islands in the North Atlantic and North Pacific in Europe and Asia as well as in North America. On the Atlantic coast it Breeds from Greenland south to Nova Scotia, and on the Pacific coast from Alaska and eastern Asia to California; also from Iceland to northern France. Winters on the open ocean south in America to New jersey and in Europe to the Mediterranean. [details]
