Taxonomic remark Type locality unclear: likely Adriatic Sea, Roviny as Bonnevie (1898) proposes a new name for Schneider's (1898) material incorrectly identified as Halecium nanum Alder, 1859. However, Bonnevie also had material from Norway.
Re-examination of Bonnevies material (P. Schuchert, unpublished) shows it to be identical to H. textum. [details]
