Distribution Until 1912 this species had not been found in the Channel and it was thought to be confined to the west of the area. In 1912 a particular set of climatic occurances involving strong currents and winds resulted in the movement of the organism further North and entering into the Channel, subsequently it was identified on Belgian shores. [details]Synonymy G. australis is most probably Sulculeolaria biloba, but possibly S. turgida. [details]
