Validity Species has two generations. The ancestrula funnel-shaped with a terminal, circular membrane surrounded by ten to 12 spines is mistakenly named as a distinct species, Brettia tubaeformis, but has to be referred to Bicellariella ciliata (Linneaus, 1758). [details]
