The diagnosis underlines "Round in section (not a Fissurina). Orifice usually fissurine but sometimes with three radiating fissures", which would rather places the species in the Reussoolina. Sidebottom also mentionned that "the whole of the test is covered with large pores", which is more puzzling. The species was transferred to Heteromorphina by Jones (1984) and to Oolina by Clark (1991) because of the lack of chamberlet.
