Editor's comment Ravara et al. (2010) based their recombination on literature only, and did not examine the type. However, Noyes original description appears not to match the Bipalponephtys diagnosis. Earlier Hilbig (1994) had proposed A. neotenus was a synonym of Nephtys cornuta, but Lovell (1997) had questioned this and preferred not to include it in N. cornuta. [details]
