Description Oceanic, epipelagic and highly migratory species usually found above the thermocline. Most densely distributed in waters close to coasts and islands (Ref. 9688). Most likely schools by size. Known to be migratory (Ref. 9308). Feeds mainly on fishes, crustaceans and cephalopods. This species is very similar to @I. albicans@. Also caught with long lines, set nets, troll lines and harpoons (Ref. 9308). Utilized fresh, smoked and frozen; also used for sashimi and sushi; eaten broiled and baked (Ref. 9987). [details]
