Editor's comment Known from the description of a single specimen almost certainly not in a museum. No BHL usages found. However, the original name was transferred to Ampharete by Fauvel, 1895, synonymised to A. acutifrons by Hessle 1917, and commented upon by Krüger et al (2022) that "most probably B. zostericola represents another species". They do not say whether they mean it is a valid species or a synonym. As it represents a monotypic genus, Branchiosabella, it seems best to confirm the invalidation of Branchiosabella by recording a transfer of the sole species to Ampharete. [details]
