Additional Material Sponges were collected by SCUBA diving, from seven stations of five key locations on the west and east coasts of India (Goa, TamilNadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve), at depths of 3 to 35 m. Station details are: in Goa, the patchy coral sites of St George Island (15.11°N 73.77°E); in TamilNadu State, the rocky regions of Melakkal site of offshore Muttom (8.09°N 77.20°E), Kanyakumari (=Cape Comorin) district; in Kerala State, the harbour site of Vizhinjam (8.37°N 76.67°E); from the Lakshadweep islands, the coral reef slopes of Minicoy (8.35°N 73.11°E) and Kadmat (11.13°N 72.78°E); and from the Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve, the shallow reefs in Hare Island (9.19°N 79.08°E), Manauli Island (9.20°N 79.13°E) and the Palk Bay (9.37°N 79.05°E) [details]
