Editor's comment This species was placed into synonymy with Alcirona krebsii by Menzies & Kruckzynski (1983) without discussion, but that was questioned by Delaney (1989), and the synonymy not accepted by Bruce et al. (2002). [details]Type locality Hulule, Maldive Islands. [details]
