Taxonomic remark Sowerby (1846) introduced the name "Terebratula inconspicua" on p. 92-93, and introduced "Terebratula rubicunda" on the next page (p. 93). However, the latter name was pre-occupied by Terebratula rubicunda Donovan, 1824 for an unrelated species, rendering it unavailable, and secondly both of Sowerby's taxa were found to be the same species (thus T. inconspicua being the valid name for both). [details]
