Type locality holotype: Lake Faro [38.2723°N, 15.6284°E], 0.5 to 2 m, Sicily, Ionian Sea. However, the lat/long given is on the coast and incorrect for a Lake Faro location. Lake Faro is said to be of brackish salinity. [details]
