Taxonomy Santodomingo & Becking (2018) have examined type material. Based on morphology, they suggest that C. albatridens, C....
Taxonomy Santodomingo & Becking (2018) have examined type material. Based on morphology, they suggest that C. albatridens, C. albaobtusa and a C. albabidens are junior synonyms of Cinachyrella porosa (Lendenfeld, 1888). However, based on the fact that C. porosa may be a species complex of at least 6 different potential species (Schuster et al., 2017), we refrain from accepting this synonymy until more genetic data can be gathered. Based on morphology, they suggest that C. albatridens, C. albaobtusa and a C. albabidens are junior synonyms of Cinachyrella porosa (Lendenfeld, 1888).
