Type material Schulze (1886, 1887) described several type specimens from different localities, but only the specimen from the Kermadec islands (Challenger stat. 170A) is considered to belong to C. lamella (see Reiwig & Mehl, 1994). The other specimens from stat. 148A and 56 are reassigned to C.choanoides. [details]
