Diagnosis Micromorphic or small-sized shell, oval-elongate, smooth or weakly costate, anterior commissure rectimarginate, foramen trapezoidal, relatively large, deltidial plates small and disjunct. Pedicle collar sessile or not, weak or strongly developed. Anteriorly divergent dental plates clearly developed. Cardinal process weakly developed. Crura absent or present. Crural processes absent as are other parts of brachidium. Dorsal hinge plates vertical (crural plates) not inclined dorso-medially forming septalium (inner hinge plates). High, long and bladelike, cocks-comb septum invariably present without development of septal flanges. Lophophore schizolophous. [details]
