Etymology Relative to the absence of any damage caused during the morphological description. The Latin word illaesa [in (“non”) + laesa (“lesion”, “wounded”, “damaged")]. For the first time, a new species of mollusc is described in detail (including shell and internal tissues) without the use of any invasive tool. [details]
