This is a contribution on the biology of the hesionid Amphiduros fuscescens (Marenzeller. 1875}, the observations have been realized with living specimens in shallow water from Tenerife lsland. Also appended is a small diagnosis of novelty characteristics. The genus Amphiduros has been recorded for the first time in the Atlantic, at Hierro Island, the most southern site for its distribution.
