Berkeley (1930: 75) replaced T. elegans Berkeley with T. renata Berkeley, 1930 (nom nov) [details]Synonymy Berkeley (1924) also recorded identification of Tomopteris septentrionalis, type locality Atlantic Canary Islands, as co-occurring with her Tomopteris elegans. Whereas the Hartman catalogue suggested T. elegans might be a synonym of T pacifica Izuka, 1914 from Japan [details]
