Three new marine species of nematode collected from the Pacific at the Marine Gardens near Depot Bay, Oregon, U.S.A., are described and figured. Phanodernta segmenta n.sp. (one male, one female) was collected from intertidal rock scrapings. The male is mainly distinguished from males of other species of the genus by the segmented appearance of the spicules. The female differs from P. albidicum in having the caudal glands extending significantly beyond the anus. [In the heading for this species the name is spelt P. segments, but P. segmenta elsewhere.] Notochaetosoma costeriata n.sp. (one male, one female) was found associated with the holdfast of Costeria costata. This species is said to be unique in the Chaetosomatidae in that it does not fall readily into any established genus. It has characters that appear to place it intermediate between Rhabdogaster and Notochaetosoma, but the well developed spicules and presence of a gubernaculum are considered most significant for assigning it to the latter, at least for the present. It further differs in having 3 caudal glands. Spilophorella furcata n.sp. (one male, 2 females) was collected from intertidal rock scrapings. In most features it is similar to S. paradoxa, but is distinguished readily by having the excretory pore located opposite the dorsal tooth, less than 10µ from die anterior end. Some inconsistencies in the descriptions of S. paradoxa are mentioned. [In the heading for this species the name is spelt S.furtcata, but S. furcata elsewhere.]
