Type material The material of Arndt was reexamined and the toxas he reported for the specimen of Cyamon are clearly foreign (they are the characteristic toxas and polytylote subtylostyles of Clathria (Microciona) ferrea De Laubenfels, 1936). De Laubenfels (1936a: 80) elevated this variety to species level (without properly naming it). In view of the foreign nature this is not accepted. [details]
