Type designation Van Soest et al. (2021: 42) refer to the type material as 'holotype', but there are two type specimens from the same locality and thus the the type material is a syntype. Also these authors use the name combination Esperella euplectellioides var. regularis, but the name in Wilson's paper is Mycale euplectellioides var. regularis[details]
