The present communication deals with a new Lecanicephalidean cestode Polipocephalus harnesis from Scomberomorus guttatus at Ratnagiri (M.S.) India. The present form having scolex oval, tentacles branched, 10 in number, neck short cylindrical, immature and mature segments are longer than broad, testes five in member, vasdeferens continue inside the cirrus pouch, cirrus straight, genital pores marginal, oval, irregularly alternate, ovary elongated, vagina posterior to cirrus pouch and granular vitellaria.
