Five species of trematodes were collected from Caesio spp. of the Ryukyu Islands, southern Japan. They are : Deretrema sp., Pseudocreadium ovale, Opecoelus lobatus, Siphodera gurukun sp. nov. and Lecithochirium caesionis. Siphodera gurukun sp. nov. is distinguished from all other siphoderan species in having testes in a cluster between both caeca, and a seminal receptacle never extending anterior to the ovarian level.
