Polylabris halichoeres sp. nov. (Fig.1-3). Host: Halichoeres nigrescens (Bloch et Schneider). Location: gills. Locality: Yangjiang (21°34^N, 111°49^E) Guangdong Province China. The body is fusiform, 2.59-3.42×0.51-0.61mm in size, haptor length of 0.69-0.98mm, 56-64 microcotyle clamps, 9-13 tests posterior to ovary. this species is similar to Polylabris japonicus Ogawa et Egusa, 1980, but differs in clamps number and the presence of a conical chitinous sheath of cirrus and concentric muscle fiber around the genital atrium.
