Description Colonies are hemispherical or flattened. Corallites are immersed, crowded, with rounded calices surrounded by feathery spinules giving the colony a spiny appearance. Colour: cream, grey or brown. Abundance: found in a wide range of environments but common only in intertidal pools. (Veron, 1986 <57>) [details]
