Description Colonies are horizontal to vertical plates or tubes, also thick columns and branches. Corallites are immersed, and indistinct. The reticulum has tuberculae fused into ridges forming the same pattern as Porites rus. Colour: purple, pink or brown, with pale-growing margins. Abundance: common, especially on upper reef slopes (Veron, 1986). [details]
