Note supposedly Port Natal (Durban), but unlikely...
Type locality supposedly Port Natal (Durban), but unlikely since such conspicuous species shallow-water species has not been noticed in recent years. In the absence of other records from east of Cape Agulhas it seems most likely that Wahlberg collected it in the vicinity of Cape Town, where he stopped en route to Natal. [details]
