Description Colour in life: disc rich green but centrally with pattern of black and yellow concentric markings within pentagonal outline, arms uniform green but spines distally white and proximally blue, ventral colour light blue overall (Sloan et al., 1979). Arm length to 8 cm, disc diameter 5-10 mm. Five arms. Disc and arms smooth. Distinctive pattern on disc and arms of black and yellow markings on bright green background, sometimes with red bars down arms and around perimeter of disc. Habitat: on hydroids, corals and gorgonians. Distribution: W Indian Ocean. Richmond 1997 (Richmond, 1998). [details]
