Description Single or multiple clumps of tubes up to 50 cm high and 4-5 cm wide. Walls 3-4 mm thick, sometimes ribbed, occasionally with fine tapering tendrils. Surface extremely smooth; fine thread-like longitudinal spicule tracts visible in walls. Body flexible, smooth and soft; tubes collapse out of water. Colour clear sky-blue, occasionally pale lilac. Habitat: fringing and patch reefs. Distribution: Indo-Pacific (Richmond, 1997). [details]
