Comparison Similar to Peponocyathus, but differs in having a rudimentary columella, and multiple paliform lobes per septum [details]Diagnosis Corallum cylindrical, resulting from transverse division, the anthocyathus stage up to 11 mm in GCD; theca imperforate; finely granular, higher cycle costae originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arranged in 4 cycles; small multiple P1-3; columella rudimentary, granular. Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Monotypic. [details]
