Comparison Differs from Trematotrochus by having imperforate theca and lacking pali. [details]

Diagnosis Corallum ceratoid, but elliptical in cross section; GCD up to 9 mm; theca imperforate, but exteriorly deeply pitted; costae granular, originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arranged in up to 4-almost 5 cycles (up to 72 septa); pali absent; columella papillose. [details]

Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Four species, two of them known as fossils (Cairns, 2004). [details]
