Comparison Differs from Rhombopsammia in having porous septal bases, from Letepsammia in having a compact columella and less perforate septa. [details]Diagnosis Corallum porous but sturdy; costae granular, equal to or thicker than intercostal spaces; marginal shelf narrow; septa lamellar and perforate only near base; synapticulae forming base are large and compound; fulturae well developed; columella solid and compact, often lenticular. [details]
Remark The genus was partially revised by Cairns (1989). Four species, two of which have a fossil record. [details]
